COMMUNICATION SKILLS

In accordance with Blessed Trinity's School Improvement Plan, this year we will focus on Communication Skills. Here are some of the objectives we will work on:

• Read aloud narrative and expository text fluently with appropriate pacing, intonation and expression.  In Progress
• Write responses to literature. Writing will demonstrate an understanding of the work and provide supporting details from the story.  In Progress
• Listen attentively and demonstrate comprehension of information presented orally.  In Progress
• Summarize major ideas and supporting evidence in spoken messages and presentations.  In Progress
• Make narrative and informational presentations.  In Progress
• Introduce strategies to respond to speakers.  In Progress
• Use volume, pitch, pacing, modulation, and gestures to enhance oral presentations.  In Progress
