Hey, all!

So, with report cards coming up, many students have not been completing their homework assignments or warmups. I sent home a notice to all parents last semester warning them about how this was affecting their child's grades.

The majority of grades I give are based on being responsible and turning in work on time and completed. If their grade shows otherwise, this is the reason. I'm no longer allowing students to make up work at the end of the semester, since this is becoming such an epidemic.

Students will have 3 days post assignment to complete it and get it to me!

Hey All!

So, this week we will be exploring proportions and slope found in chapter 5 sections 5-3 thru 5-5.

Monday,
I want to finish going over rates and ratios by finishing the quiz we began on Friday. We will then be introduced to Proportions
HW: p285 13 - 29 odd

Tues,
We will continue with proportions, but this time we will focus on calculating unknowns with proportions.
HW: 289 6 - 25 odd

Weds,
I want to introduce slope for the first time. We will go over an interactive powerpoint and work a bit in our book in groups
HW: 281 11 - 19 odd

Thurs,
We will reinforce slopes with a constructionist activity that relates slope to the real world.

Fri,
We will review and then take a quiz on slope and proportions.
