Mrs. Christen's preschool 3's - MWF class: JANUARY 2012 Notes ~ HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012! I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas. I want to thank each and every one for all the generous Christmas gifts you gave me. Everyone was very kind. Only God knows of the plans for us in the new year. I am excited to find out what He has in store for all of us...
Our Bible stories for the month are: Jesus Boyhood, Follow Me, Beside the Pool, The Women at the Well, The Nobleman's son, Fishing with Jesus and Heaven. Our memory verse is: "Love one another," 1John 3:23. We will be learning the letters Ii, Jj Kk, and Ll. The numbers 7, 8, and 9.
Important dates to remember: M/W/F: *****Sometime this week Jan. 2 - 6 after the 2nd, will be class pictures - I am guessing on the 4th but I am not sure. I enjoy each of your children. They bring so much joy to my life. Each one brings their own personality to the classroom and together we make a great class!! I would like to thank my room coordinators for this year Jennifer McCoy and Dara Bearden! SPECIALS: Chapel - Every Wednesday the preschool classes and the elementary classes go to Chapel for Praise songs and short lesson. Parents are welcome but seating is limited this year. Computer Lab - Each week your child will go to the computer lab 2 times a week. They are working on mouse control; how to point and click. Library - Each week the class goes to the Library to work on how to act in the library. Books are checked out weekly but stay in the classroom. Storybook Theater - Each week everyone goes to storybook theater where Mrs. Tena reads a story of her choice and shows some great videos that the children really enjoy. Music Makers - Each week all the 3 year old classes go together to make music and sing some songs. There are several props the children are allowed to use; scarves that they can move with a beat or to the words in the song and rhythm sticks to name a few.
