Homework Policy Early Childhood Department
In an effort to teach responsibility, homework is a cooperative effort of parents, teacher, and child. This responsibility needs to be learned at an early age because as the children progress through Saint Elizabeth Elementary School, there will be consequences for missed assignments as outlined in the Code of Behavior booklet.
Homework in the preschool and kindergarten levels is assigned to practice and reinforce a skill or concept already introduced in the classroom.
It is expected that the child will complete the assignment with parent supervision and guidance. It is the responsibility of the parent and the child to return assignments to the teacher by the due date. Failure to return completed assignments by the due date may result in the child not being able to fully participate in an activity or project. |
