ATTENDING MASS We will not be attending a school mass this week.
Shoe Tying Please practice tying shoes at home:)
This week we will~ Reading: - Learn about the ocean -Practice breaking words in to syllables or chunks -Practice short vowel sounds - We will be reading and writing using the words we can sound out and high frequency words - Practice high frequency words the, a, like, my, I, we, go, on , to, do, have, what, no, see, look, come, for, me,one, little -New words - are, here - Writing sentences - Build words using short i, short a, and short o, short e, short u
Math:
- Telling time to the nearest hour - Practice writing numbers -Count by 2s,5s, and 10s
Religion: - Learn about the Holy Family - Learn about Jesus' mother Mary - Listen to Bible stories - Learn songs of praise (ask your child to teach them to you) - Pray the Our Father and Blessing before meals
Show and Tell: Please bring in a favorite book.
What can you do at home? ~ Practice tying your shoes. ~ As your child practices writing, please remind them to start at the top or middle line. They should not begin any letters at the bottom. ~Practice writing numbers. ~Color inside the lines. ~READ, READ, READ!!!!! ~ Count to 100. ~Count by 2,5,10. ~Count money

If you are able make a donation, please send them to school with your child. *small leftover containers with lids (ex.butter or cream cheese dishes) *Ziploc bags to help store our manipulatives * old child appropriate magazines that we may cut
