Stockwell's Star Students Welcome Back !!! I hope everyone had a relaxing and FUN summer! Soon we will be hard at work on correcting those speech sounds and practicing all types of language activities. Tips to help your child with articulation of sounds: Have the child watch your mouth as you say the sound or word. After they say the sound, have them repeat a word containing the sound. After saying a word correctly, have them repeat a short sentence using the word. Our speech is such an important skill that we use many times everyday in lots of settings. That is why for a child who is having difficulty pronouncing some sounds, it is very important for them to practice outside of the school setting. Practicing at home helps them be aware of the sounds they are working on and they can show you how well they are progressing. Check out the links below for lots of fun games that your child can play while learning grammar and vocabulary and much more.
