6th Grade Health

Thursday, January 22:  Read letter to parents about Project Alert and have them sign and return it.  Complete Drug Test IQ.

Friday, January 23:  Complete Core Lesson 2 worksheet and study notes.

Thursday, January 29:  Complete short answer questions of Core LEsson 2 and STUDY NOTES.

Thursday, February 12: Complete Weekly Ad Count and get test signed.

Thursday, February 19:  Interview a parent or an adult about peer pressure.  Use your worksheet.

Friday, February 20:  Get project sheet signed and begin your research.

Thursday, March 5:  Complete Internal Pressure Scenarios A, B, C, and D.  Due 3/12.  Also remember power points are due on 3/12 too.

Thursday, March 19:  Look over your notes from the presentations given in class today: Oxycontin and most of Opium.

Friday, April 17:  Look over your notes for quiz on Thursday and make a paper copy of your power point for Mrs. Moore.

Thursday, May 7:  Study for RETEST.  Make sure you bring your notes to class.

Thursday, May 14: Finish packet: The Real Ture and False about CLub Drugs, Prescription Drugs, and Street Drugs

Thursday, May 21:  Make a list of 10 facts related to cocaine and the brain.  Try to find interesting facts or surprising information for your list.

EXTRA CREDIT:  Make a list of 10 facts related to heroin and the brain.  Try to find interesting facts or suprising information for your list.

 

May 22:  complete worksheet "Making Sense of 'Plug-in Drugs'.  This should be done daily until next Thursday.  You also need to complete worksheet "Mom and Dad, Let's Talk".  Please make sure you write the summary for each question clearly.  You may use a separate sheet of paper or type your responses and turn them in Thursday.

May 28:  Complete Week Two of "Plug-in" Inventory
