Thursdays are the days when the week's vocabulary words will be tested.  There will be 10 multiple choice, 5 fill-in-the-blank, and an essay or poem where the students must use five of the vocabulary words, plus a "magic word" given the day of the test, to create an original piece of writing.

Students should spend 5-10 minutes each day studying their words.  Every Friday they will be given new words; so, if they choose, they may study over the weekend.

Students should be reading 20-30 minutes daily in a book of their own choice.  Book report information will be given out Sept. 6th.  The first report will be due on, or before, October 15th.
