NC Writing Pre-Test November 18, 2009- ALL Sophomore Students in Rowan County will test! 2nd Period will be extended to allow time for all students to be successful.

Students are currently doing vocabulary chapter 18 in the Word Skills textbook. Students will get the first 12 words on Monday and the remaining 12 on Tuesday. Wednesday - Thursday, (we will adjust the time of the period due to the test and ) hope to do one exercise on the set of words for review for the test on Friday.

We are also reading Don Quixote  in the text book in class and doing group work. Students are working with proximity partners to do reading circle studies.

Our next major project will be a research paper about ACC schools. Students will draw for schools, then prepare a research paper and a presentation with PowerPoint or KeyNote for peers during class time. A drawing will provide students with a due date and presentation date.
