Greetings to 8th grade math class 2010-2011. (Students and parents)

Welcome to 8th grade!

Your child is either in Math Connects Course 3 or in Algebra 1.   The books are brand new so please keep them covered and in good shape.

Students will have math homework Monday through Thursday and occasionally on weekends (depending on vacations and snow days).  The assignmen is to be written in their planner each day and is also posted in the classroom.  It is your child's responsibility to complete his/her work each day and bring it to class.

Buddy system:  Students have a 'buddy' who they should call when absent to find out what they have missed in math class.  The buddies may also study together --  2 brains are sometimes better than one! 

Our new math series web site is:  www.glencoe.com.  Students will be receiving the password soon.  Parents should check out the site as there are many parent and student help areas.
