Journal Entry: An abolitionist, Frederick Douglass, once said, "If there is not struggle, there is no progress...".  Since yesterday was the inauguration of President Barack Obama, please explain what you think President Obama's struggles will be in the next few months.  Why do you think these are his main struggles?  Using the struggles you choose and explained, now connect them with Frederick Douglass' quote.  Must America and President Obama experience these struggles so that we can flourish once again?  Or, are these struggles going to be the decline of America, the "Super-Power"?  explain and support your feelings on this topic.
