Other Services

If any students need to be on homebound services due to a medical issue, then forms and a written doctor's note must be obtained by me (Mrs. Yang) to get the process started.

If Homebound Services is approved, then a teacher will come to the home to teach the student for a few hours a week.

Homebound Services is month-to-month.  A doctor's note must be submitted monthly in order for the services to continue.  It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to obtain the doctor's note.

Student Assistance Team

If your child is struggling academically and/or behaviorally at school, your child and/or you can refer your child to the Student Assistance Team.  This is a team of school professionals that will meet with you and your child's teacher (s) to give interventions to help your child.

Mrs. Keaton is the Student Assistance Team Chair.

Local/State Testing

Every April all 7th grade students take a local test call the Iowa Algebra.  This test measures how well a student performs in Algebra.  This test is only one piece of the many factors that will determine which students will be placed into Algebra I in their 8th grade.  There are other factors as well such as:  math grades, EOG math scores, and math teacher recommendations.

Upcoming state tests:

*NC Extend 1 (only eligible students will participate)

*NC Extend 2 (only eligible students will participate)

*EOG Reading (all grade levels)

*EOG Math (all grade levels)

*EOG Science (only 8th grade students)

*Algebra I EOC (only 8th grade students who are enrolled in Algebra will test)
