Obj: CMP2 Variables and Patterns Investigation 1, Problem 1.1 Interpreting Tables SB pgs 6-7. Students will be placed into Quads and trios. Roles will be assigned (Jumper, Timer, Counter, Recorder). A demonstration will be performed on the process of collecting the jumping jacks data.

Obj: CMP2 Variables and Patterns Investigation 1, Problem 1.2 Making Graphs SB pgs 7-9. Students will relate lesson to cardinal direction. Student groups will convert yesterday's data to a graph. Fours steps for graph creation: S1-Identify two variables, S2-Select an axis to represent each variable, S3 - Select a scale for each axis and determine the minimum and maximum values S4 - Plot the data points. Student groups will answer critical thinking questions pertaining to the lesson and present/justify solutions. HW: 1. Given the ordered pair (3,2) Identify which number represents the x-coordinate and which represents the y-coordinate. Write answer in a complete sentence. 2. Draw and Label a horizontal and vertical line.
