Welcome to LMS and to the art department!!  I hope everyone had a great summer.  Here are just a few things that will be going on in the art department in September:

All students will learn about the artist, Monet.  This year we will try to cover 6 impressionist artists.  Check out which 'impressionist' tables when you sit in class.

We will paint landscapes this fall with pastels and tempera paint.  Grade 7 will work on a science integrated unit on insects with drawing and sculpting.

I do hope all parents take time to stop by the art room during Fall open house.

RECYCLE NEEDS: Yarn, small cardboard boxes, plastic baby food containers, toilet & paper towel rolls, broken junk jewelry, lace, trim and yarn scraps
