Great Things are Happening at OCMS Famous Faces Assignment: Each student will select a scientist to research and discuss with their class. The research will be presented on a PowerPoint.
Purpose: For students to understand the work that went into the discovery of the concepts that they study in science today. Famous Faces Rubric______________
50pts Explanation of the individual’s contribution to science. (5 slides 4 sentences minimum)
30pts 3 pictures of the scientist that the student chose.
25pts Presentation of the date the scientist was born and died (if they are still alive how old they are.)
25pts Where they resided during life, or reside currently.
30pts A quote from the individual.
25pts The presentation is focused and is presented with maturity /without reading the slides.
25pts The project is organized and is well put together.
25pts All sources are sited and turned in at the end of the project.
10pts Student turns in the rubric before the presentation. The model includes all the organs within the selected system. 50pts Student turned in a handwritten description of the selected system and the function of each organ within the system. 20pts Student named at least two common problems associated with the system. 20pts The model was neatly put together. 30pts Student presented the information with maturity and purpose without use of notes. 10pts Student turned in rubric on May 26th.
