GRADING SCALE: A 93-100 B 85-92 C 77-84 D 70-76 F Below 70 _____________________________________________________________________ WEIGHTED PERCENTAGES: Test and Projects 35% Quizzes 30% Classwork 25% Homework 10% ________________________________________________ TEST CORRECTION PROCEDURES: (1) Recopy the problem on a clean sheet of paper. (2) Correct the problem showing all work. (3) Write a short paragraph (2 to 3 sentences) explaining what you did wrong the first time. Do not simply say, "I did not understand, or I made a careless mistake." You should be able to clearly explain your original mistake. (4) Have your parent sign the corrections. (5) Staple the corrections to the original test, and return this packet to the teacher. * You may earn back 1/2 of the points taken off of each question if the corrections are done properly. ________________________________________________________ OUR ROPE TO SUCCESS Respectful To other classmates To ALL adults To others' property On Time To school To class In seat ready to learn Prepared Bring pencil, paper, agenda, and needed materials to class Bring homework, textbook, and workbook to class. Agenda in front 2. Pencil Pocket in front also (should include pencils, pencil sharpener, erasers, highlighter, DRY ERASE MARKER, colored pencils or markers, etc.) (3) Subject Divider labeled MATH (4) Two Pocket Folder (clipped in binder) Inside the folder the left side should be marked TO DO and the right side should be marked DONE (5) Spiral Notebook (should be clipped in binder) This should ONLY have math in it. It will be used for problem solving strategies, notes, vocabulary, etc. This will be an excellent study guide for tests if used correctly. (6) Graph paper. (7) Notebook paper. (8) Subject Divider: labeled TESTS/QUIZZES. All tests should be signed by a parent, and students should do corrections (see test correction process) for additional points. (9) Holt Workbook
