Can you believe that it is already May?  The last progress report of the year goes out Tuesday,May 8th.  That means we are halfway through the fourth quarter of school.  

Everyone has been busy preparing for the EOGs.  Our students and teachers have been working extremely hard doing remediation and practicing EOG type questions.  The 5th grade science EOG is  next Thursday, May 10th.  The reading and math EOGs for all 3rd -5th graders start May 15th and end May 17th.  Please have your child(ren) get a good nights sleep the night before each test and eat a good breakfast the morning of each test.  We want all students to be well rested and fed before taking any test.  The cafeteria will be serving breakfast each morning.  If your child does not eat at home, please encourage them to eat at school. 

Our last early release day of the year is this Friday, May 4th.  Students will dismiss at 11:45am.

We will have open library on May 17th from 4:30-6pm.  This is a great way to spend family time in the media center and get extra books to share at home.  There will be computers available to use also.

Please join us for our last PTA fundraiser of the year.  We will have a LUAU on May 18th from 6-8 pm.  I promise you will be in for a night of fun if you attend.

The School Improvement Team will meet on May 21st  at 2:20pm.

Students will be out of school on May 28th for Memorial Day.

Don't forget about our  trailer from Can Do Recycling that  collects aluminum cans.  Please help us collect cans.  You can deposit them directly in the trainer in the parking lot below the buses. Please do not put bags in the trailer-only aluminum cans.

We are still  collecting Box Tops, Tyson  A+ and Campbell Soup labels.  Our school is  registered with Harris Teeter and Food Lion to earn money when you use  your VIC and MVP cards. We are also registered at Target.

Our school hours are 7:30am-2:15pm. Teachers are available from 7:15am-2:45pm. Students are tardy after 7:45am.
