Welcome to Mrs. Estes'Kindergarten Website!

 My name is Julie Estes and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Mountain View Elementary School.  My assistant is Melanie Ayers.  This is my second year teaching Kindergarten and I love it!  Before teaching Kindergarten, I taught Pre-K for 2 years.  I enjoy working with the teachers, parents, and students here at Mtn. View. 

I am happily married to my husband, Randall.  We were married in November 2007 on the beach in St. Thomas.  It was beautiful and we can't wait to go back!  We have 2 nephews and 1 niece that we adore.

Snack Money

*We will provide a snack for your child each day.  In the warm months, we have popsicles outside.  Otherwise, we will have a snack and juice.   Please send in $3.00 in an envelope with your child's name on it and Snack Money.  Send it in your child's gold folder every Monday so that we can purchase snacks for the week. 

Sight Words

These are the 20 sight words that your child will be required to read, write, and spell by the END of the Kindergarten year.  We introduce them the first half of the year and will focus on 2 each week after Christmas.
