ü      Respect the teacher, your fellow classmates, and the school property.

ü      Be on time for class. You will be written up if you are late.

ü      No backpacks in the classroom.

ü      If absent, you are responsible to get the missed work.

ü      Snacks are allowed during  academic period D--nut free, please .

When you come into math class, please check the daily agenda and begin working.  Unless it is an emergency, no passes are given during PRIME TIME the first 15 minutes of class.

Homework

Because new concepts are taught daily and need to be practiced, the homework assignment is very important. The assignment will always be posted on the agenda in the classroom and I will remind you to put it in your agenda. I will also try to post the assignment daily on this site.    For full credit, the homework is on time, you have attempted to solve all of the problems, and you have shown the necessary work.

Assessments

Tests are always announced and you will be given a study guide with practice problems.  Because I want you to master the material before moving on, I provide an opportunity to relearn and retake.  If you want to improve your test grade, you should correct your errors and come after school for a make up test.  You will get the average grade for the two tests. You have one week after the test is returned to you to do the retake.

Quizzes and graded performance assessments are given at least once a week to assess your understanding of the material.  There are no retakes for quizzes or performance assessments and generally, 2 quizzes=1 test.

Extra help is encouraged and available after school on Tuesdays.
