Welcome to 8th Grade Science

Parents & Students:  This website will be used as a source  of communication between me and you.  Major assignments, tests, and weekly updates will be posted for your convenience.

  • Guest speakers from Baylor College of Medicine on the 17th

Field Trip to Brazos Bend State Park on the 30th.....we still need volunteers.  Please let me know if you are interested.

November 3-7

***Special Tutorial Session***

Tuesday, December 9th and Thursday, December 11th from 4-5pm
  Sessions will focus on body systems and genetics. 
Extra Credit will be given for attendance!
This has been a unique semester at school and I want to take an extra step to ensure students understand the material.  Please encourage your student to attend.


Science Strategy of the Month: 
ORGANIZE YOUR NOTEBOOK

  • Work with your student to create sections in the folder/binder
  • Create a section for warm ups, notes, graded work, and previous 9 weeks' work
  • Discuss how to maintain organization throughout the nine weeks and the Spring semester
  • Review grade sheets and graded work.  Together, discuss strategies for improving grades.
