Accelerated Reader (AR)

Beginning second quarter

Every student will be responsible for reading at least one book and taking one AR quiz every two weeks. Specific due dates are listed on the HOME page. 

Regular English 8 students should be reading books of at least 6 points (verify at arbookfind.com).

Honors English 8 students should be reading books of at least 10 points.

*All quizzes must be taken on a school computer with Mrs. Schmidt or Mrs. Webb present.

In addition to the quizzes, each student will be required to turn in a book review on ONE book per quarter.

Students: You will not be given class time to choose books from the library. You must find books on your own time from the school, community, or your own personal library. If you find your book outside of the school library, don’t forget to verify that the book meets the minimum point requirement for an AR book (listed above).
