WELCOME MRS. SCHRECK'S 2ND GRADE HOMEWORK 2011-2012 Dear Second Grade Families:
Thank you for all that you have done and are continuing to do for Gabe and our family. Thank you does not seem to be enough to say for all the meals, gifts, cards and prayers you have sent our way. You all are a tremendous help and blessing to us and our prayer is that God blesses you and your family the same way you have blessed ours.
With Heartfelt Appreciation and Gratitude,
The Cipollone family (Please consider the note above as your "thanks" for prayers, meals, etc. All you do to help this family is genuinely appreciated.) HOMEWORK Week of May 14, 2012
Social Studies Language Arts (Reading & English)
Math Students may bring in their 2 paper airplanes on Thurs., 5/31/12, NO SOONER.The very last day of school is always a special one for Mrs. Conroy and I. The students participate in a "rocket launch" (we don't use real rockets) & a paper airplane competition. *Students will need to make 2 paper airplanes as follows: 1. plain airplane made from paper with the students name written where it can be easily seen, & 2. an airplane that has the student name & at least one addition (a paperclip, tape, sticker, etc.). I suggest you check out the internet for folding techniques. Practice with the airplanes at home. Students will not be permitted to fly the airplanes, in school, until the competition on Friday. Parents may help students with this project. All planes must be in school 1st thing Friday morning. Science All 5 of the butterflies have "emerged" from their chrysalis. Just 1 of our insectsarrived with injured wings. The rest are enjoying their orange juice. We will release the butterflies on Wed., 5/30/12. Spelling & Handwriting Reminders
ANNOUNCEMENTS Dear Parents & Students, I see that you folks have been busy taking pictures, writing & printing a song, making a poster, buying special surprises, clipping flowers, & making postcards for me! Thank you for all of your offerings. The students were so excited we had to adapt our usual Monday schedule a bit. Thank you for the time and energy you have given throughout the year. I applaud all of you for the effort that no one else sees. It is evident to me when I look into your childrens' faces and listen carefully to their words. Hand in hand, Mrs. Schreck PS You have showered me with so many kind notes, gifts, & flowers. The students made & gave me flower decorated notes. I have read them all and feel the students were generous in their kind words.
