Martin's Memos

Our theme this month will be "That's Amazing." We will learn various reading and vocabulary skills throughout the week, as well as a story. On Friday, we will take a reading test on the skills and the story. Your child WILL be able to use his/her reading book on the test. We will also start literature circles soon.
Spelling words will be given each Monday (or Tuesday if we are out of school on a Monday). Your child's homework will be to complete a spelling contract (located behind the spelling tab in the S.T.A.R log) each night. The contracts are due Thursday morning. There will usually be three contracts due. If we are out on Monday, two spelling contracts will be due on Thursday. The spelling test will be Thursday during class.

December 15-19- No reading test or spelling test
