CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

 

 

1.  Required Materials.  Bring the following to class each day.

    1. Textbook (with cloth cover)
    2. No. 2 Mechanical Pencil with eraser
    3. College Ruled White Loose Leaf Paper
    4. Graph Paper
    5. Ruler , protractor, and compass(Geometry)
    6. Binder  and dividers
    7. Dry erase marker
    8. Calculator (TI 83, TI 83 Plus, or TI 84)
    9. 1 ream of copy paper

 

  1. Tardiness.  You are expected to be in your desk with the required materials when the second bell rings.  If you are not in your seat, you may be marked tardy and will have to attend detention the following day. First period will  attend noon detention on the day of the tardy.  NO more detention passess will be issued under any circumstances.  Students with 3 tardies in two weeks  will serve a Saturday clean Up Day($10 fee).  Students consistently late throughout the school day will be handled as a discipline referral.  Parent conferences will be scheduled as needed.

           

  1. Classroom Behavior.  Your responsibilities in this class are:
    1. To R-E-S-P-E-C-T everyone in the classroom and you school-Knight Code.     
    2. To be prepared and on time for class.
    3. The use of electronics, gum, and food/drink is prohibited.
    4. Abide by the school handbook.
    5. Live by Gospel values.

                  Referral to Office

 

 

  1. Grades.  Grades are divided as follows:

                            15% Daily Assignments

                            25% Quizzes

                50% Tests

                10% Participation

Assignments will be posted on new.schoolnotes.com every week for both students and parents.  Students will know exactly what  is expected of them.

Assignments must be 100% completed before the work is turned in.  Help is available after school. 

 

           

  1. Absences and Make-up Work.  You are expected to make up any work missed due to an absence.  It is your responsibility to find out what work you missed.  You will be given two (2) days to make up all assignments.  It is also your responsibility to make arrangements with the teacher for making up this work.   If you have an excused absence, you will be allowed only two (2) days to make up a missed quiz or test. 
  1. Math Notebook

Your math notebook will contain four sections:  notes, assignments,  Tests/Quizzes, and PSAT/SAT.  For each semester you will receive a single notebook grade.  I may randomly collect your notebooks to provide you with feedback.  Notes will count as 5-10% of test grade.

Your math notebook is an organizational tool for you to keep all of your math papers together so they are easy to access and refer to.  It will also provide you with an additional resource to help you with your homework and study for tests.

                 teacher will provide a hard copy when requested.
