What a great job the children did on the Walk-a-thon! We had a great time walking with our banner and moving to our class song."Black and Yellow" This week we are learning about space in our new story. Here are the spelling words: Each spelling word has the 'ow, ou' sound: cow house town shout down mouse found loud brown ground pound flower out now towel pounce And to make it a little more challenging the word astronaut is a bonus word
We will be reviewing possessive nouns in grammar In Science we will be finishing our look at fossils and begin a chapter in science about Earth and Space. In Math we will be finishing up our chapter on measurement and moving on to.......believe it or not MULTIPLICATION!
The children and I had a great time this week participating in a global activity sponsored by Stevens Institute. The activity "Bucket Buddies " asked us to investigate, observe and collect data on the organisms found in local pond water. In June we will be comparing our findings to other schools within and outside of the USA> we will keep you posted and let you know how we did! |
