Welcome to The Wolverines Page

Here's to a positive last few days! This site is a great resource, along with your child & your child's planner, to keep up-to-date on important information. Look for updates generally on Tuesday mornings.

NO GUM *  NO GUM * NO GUM * NO GUM

You know, its no longer about the gum...even though it IS against school, team, and classroom/lab policy. NOW ITS ABOUT DEFIANCE & NON-COMPLIANCE. After asking the same kids OVER AND OVER to spit out their gum, they continue to chew it and thumb their nose at the rules/us. Defiance and non-compliance are serious offenses. Really? Do you really want a suspension because you just HAD to have your gum???? Parents, please help us enforce this. It is a respect issue as well.

INTERIMS HOME 5/11/12. SIGNED COVER LETTERS WERE DUE FRIDAY, 5/18/12.

Information coming Tuesday, 5/29/12, on End-Of-Year Activities

AR Books for Smart Lunch!!! No excuses, please. Everyone has ample opportunity to go to the MC.

Student SPAN #s & info. sheets distributed in HR/1st period Tues., 11/2/11. Students & parents: please check regularly.

TO WOLVERINE PARENTS:

Check SPAN every week or so. Have your child check it as well.

If your child is struggling (Ds and Fs,)  - and not necessarily if you'd say struggling - please feel free to email teachers on Fridays: ckincaid, tgoodwin, aevans5, rjohnson5. (Make a group list and ask how the week went.) All addresses are @wcpss.net.

Set aside at least an hour each night to go over notes, homework, & discuss what was learned throughout the day.  Students should spend the remainder of the hour reading. (This is in addition to the nightly assigned 20 minutes from LA.)

Go through your child s notebooks/binder at least once a week. Help organize notes, etc.

Go through your student's agenda. Teachers are willing to “sign-off” off  on/in agenda; however, is does need to be the students' responsibility to bring it to the teacher at the end of their class period.
