Mrs. Piland's English and History Class

This nine weeks in history students will be studying the American Revolution and the creation of the United States of America. Students will be reading and studying the Declaration of Independence, The United States Constitution, the Bill of Rights as well as other primary sources as they uncover the foundation of our nation.
In English students will be studying subject/verb agreement, pronoun/antecedent agreement, indefinite pronouns, and phrases (gerunds, participles, infinitives, and appositives). Students will also be studying a variety of persuasive strategies and will be writing persuasive text throughout the nine weeks.
