* Happy New Year! I hope this year brings many blessings to all our BT families.

Literature: *We just started reading The Pigman, by Paul Zindel. This unit will be structured much like The Outsiders unit. The students have two packets: one with questions for each chapter--which they will sometimes be working on at home--and one with activities that will mostly be done with their literature circles in class.

Independent Reading: The goal is to read 5 books outside of class each trimester. The students have a "bingo" board from which they should choose an activity to go along with each book. They may/should turn these in at any time throughout the trimester.

Language: *Unit 4: Modifiers. We are back to doing a grammar unit. Students should have a little bit of homework nearly every day in language throughout this unit.

Spelling: The students will recieve a spelling worksheet every Monday. This worksheet should be completed by Friday (or the last day of the week) and turned in before the test. Students should be studying every night!! The spelling words are challenging for most students in 7th grade.

Religion (7L): * We will be finishing up our Family Life books after Christmas. At mid-tri (January 26) 7L will start having Theology 101 with Mr. Pipitone and 7S will come to me for Family Life.
