What an exciting year this is turning out to be!
Our students are rotating through reading, math, science, social studies, and writing classes. The adjustment has been smooth and the students seem to enjoy working with different teachers during the day.
The teachers of our special classes...music, art, PE, media, and guidance...are able to work with the children for longer periods of time with our new schedule. Resource teachers are coming into the classrooms and providing either extra help, enrichment, or both to enhance the learning experience for all of our students.
We are excited about the changes and hope to see growth in all areas with every child. We are truly ...Reaching for the Stars!
January Happenings:
- January 5th...Students return to class.
- January 19th...Holiday...Dr. King's birthday
- January 22nd & 23rd...Holiday for students
- January 21st...End of the 2nd Quarter
Homework:
- Reading 15 minutes. Have reading log signed nightly.
- Math...Practice basic computation with your calculator.
Remember to check your child's homework pad daily to keep abreast of assignments, behaviors, and notes from school. Now take a moment to hug your child.
