It certainly seems as if spring is here!  The children are like frisky puppies and they love running and playing outside.  However, we have much to do!  We've switched from double digit addition and subtraction to geometry.  The class loves it!  We will still be working on math facts but this has been a fun change.

Reading fluency is amazing.  I have seen such progress.  Book Club homework has really paid off!

We are working on our First Eucharist book.  There is a big emphasis on the importance of the Mass so of course the more your children attend Mass the more comfortable they will feel when they receive their First Communion.

Our Seus-a-bration was a great success.  We had fun at each station and talked about favorite Dr. Seuss books.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by and helped.

Children will have math and cursive homework if those papers are not completed during the school day. 

HOMEWORK 

MONDAY

*Spelling:  Follow the directions on the bottom of the paper when completing homework and bring one list into school (with corrections when necessary). Also, ABC order and then choose five spelling words and write five separate sentences.  Our new words are:  blouse, blouses, place, places, race, races, only, word, people, apple.

*Making Words:  Follow the directions on the bottom of the paper.  See how many words you can make after you have CUT OUT the letters.  List the words on the front then arrange in Word Families on the back.  Can you guess the word that uses all of the letters?! (a,e,i,n,p,r,t)
