Once your search results are shown, click on the "Book Wizard" which is located on the left side of the page. Once you are in the "Book Wizard," you can select the grade level of your student. The grade levels are displayed on the left side of the page. I hope this helps. *http://www.mtlebanonlibrary.org/kids/books/booklists (This link doesn't have suggestions for historical fiction books.) *Below are descriptions of, and links to, three websites that contain academic games and activities. Please explore them with your child and let me know how it goes. I am open to suggestions about which games to use in class. I have played some of them, but I don't have the time to play all of them. So, your feedback is welcomed. Enjoy! http://www.funbrain.com/kidscenter.html This site has a substantial selection of games. I consider it an academic arcade. It contains word and number games, matching activities, and puzzles. The most popular games are displayed for easy access, and the games are categorized by grade level, as well. At least the kids don’t have to put a quarter in the machine to keep playing. (You only need to make electronic payments to your internet service provider! My, how times have changed!) http://www.internet4classrooms.com/grade_level_help.htm This site is categorized by grade level, subject, and skills. It offers a comprehensive selection of games and activities for all grade and skill levels. Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies activities are available for the Fourth Grade. Explore and have fun learning! This site has many games that can help with Math and word skills. There are many Math games and a few Language Arts games. I’ve played most of them, and I had a lot of fun. Social Studies: The kids were very interested in knowing about the White House. Here's a link to facts about the president's home. http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/history What's Happening later this week? Tests on Friday Spelling, English, Reading
