Hello Parents,

       This week we spent a lot of time practicing for our End of the Year program. The children did a great job and they are very excited about performing for you next week! In addition to playing and practicing, we finished assessments, performed in the spring concert, spent time playing outside with our third grade buddies, and visited the Kindergarten classroom. We have been reading stories about going to Kindergarten, and the children were excited to go to Mrs. Rapp's room. They came back happy from the visit; talking about the room and singing songs she had taught them. The visit seemed to calm some of the fears they may have had about the transition. They are ready to go!

     Next week is short! There is no school on Monday for Memorial Day. Tuesday is the Walkathon and Field Day. Wednesday is the last full day of school for Pre-K, and Thursday is Our End of the Year Celebration!

      Our Pre-K End of the Year Celebration will be on Thursday, May 31st at 10:00 a.m. After the program ends, we will briefly celebrate by having a snack. Thank you to the families who have signed up to bring things. Please remember to bring your items the day of the performance. Siblings are also welcome to attend! Please notify your children's teachers to let them know that your child will be attending the Pre-K celebration with you. 

     Just a reminder that Thursday is the last day of school for Pre-K. The children are dismissed directly from the performance. Children should not bring book bags that day. Everything, including report cards, will be sent home before then.

     I can't believe how quickly the year has come to an end! I have enjoyed teaching your children and working with you all! Thank you for your support throughout the year! Best wishes and have a great summer!
