Mrs. Pam's  PK - 4's

                                            M - F

** End of the Year Program**
How cute were your kids! We had a great time performing for everyone.

**Roar Store**
The year end Roar Store will be Wednesday, May 16.

** Nursery Rhymes **
This month we will learn a variety of nursery rhymes and make a special keepsake book for our very own. We will continue to learn about poetry and rhyming.

 ** Spring Into Science **
We will have special activities and projects to help us learn Spring and various Science concepts. We had a great time experimenting with Gravity!

** Progress Reports **

Our final Progress Report will be sent home Friday, May 25th. Any items that were previously identified as introduced will be checked for mastery. Please open them at home. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

** End of School Party **

Our end of school party will be on Thursday, May 24. We will be having a Luau themed party. Thank you Courtney Warrington for coordinating this.

** Game Day **

Our last day of school will be Friday, May 25. We will be celebrating by having Game Day! Please have your child bring their favorite game to class (no expensive items or items with very small pieces). It would be most helpful if your child could explain the rules. Puzzles are ok too.

Important Reminders

Reading Circles: Be sure to encourage your child to read the books they bring home. They should read them over and over. New books will come home as they are mastered. The excitement is in the room. They know that thay are reading or a least very close. Be sure that they have the opportunity to read during the summer.

 **Academics**

The  week of May 21 - 25 we will be reviewing letters already learned and working very hard on proper letter formation. Reading groups will continue.

We will also continue reviewing numbers 1-20. Again, working on proper number formation.

I have begun to stress kindergarten behavior. I am expecting more from your child, more independent work, better listening skills, and helping them have confidence that they can figure out things on their own.

This week we will be reviewing some of the previous Bible stories.

 **MayBible Verses**

May 7-11  "Be ye kind one to another."  Ephesians 4:32

May 14-18  "Call unto Me, and I will answer."  Jeremiah 33:3

May 21-25 "Honour thy father and thy mother."  Exodus 20:12
