This will be my last newsletter of the year!

Tomorrow is our field trip to the Ft. Worth Zoo! Chaperones need to be in the cafeteria at 8:15. We will come down shortly after to wait for the buses. If you are following us there, you need to wait in your car. Do not come in to the school please. When the buses pull out you can follow behind. Thanks!

Next Friday, we will be going to the LLELA! A new permission slip will be going home Tuesday. Because of the date change, we need you to sign a new one. I will need these back no later than Thursday.

Remember that we have NO SCHOOL on Monday to celebrate Memorial Day. :)

Next week:

Reading: Each child will chose a chapter book on their level. They will be responsible for the main idea and re-telling the story in their own words.

Language: We will review high frequency words and other key concepts taught this year. :)

Math: We will be learning about graphs and probability.

Science: We will continue with our study on the human body and body systems. We will discuss the muscular system and the skeleton. We will also learn about the respiratory system and how to take our pulse.

Social Studies: This week we will learn how countries trade goods with each other and how they are transported.  Wednesday we will read A New Coat for Anna and learn how Anna’s mother bartered/traded for materials to make a new coat.  We will review Unit 3 on Thurday and take our last Social Studies test on Friday!  Make sure your child goes over the study sheet!

The last week of school, we have planned a lot of fun activities! More information will be coming home shortly, but some things we are working on are: game day, yearbook signing day, movie day, and more!

Our EOY class pary is Thursday, June 4th at 1:30. All are welcome! It will be a blast! :)

Friday, June 5th is an EARLY RELEASE DAY at 1:30! Please make arrangements. Thank you!

Report cards will go home on the last day of school.

There is so much going on this time of the year. We are taking grades up until almost the last minute, so your child needs to be in school these last couple of weeks. Thanks!
