Announcements 

*** Tuesday is Olympic Day! The students will be outside all day participating in the different events. Please be prepared for all weather conditions. Dress in your gym uniform. Students may bring water and sunglasses. They may also wear sunscreen (please have this on before school). It's going to be a lot of fun! :)

***Thursday, May 31st, we will have a test on all of the English we learned so far this year! *** The spelling test will be held on Wednesday (sorry, Tuesday is Olympic Day)!

• Our story this week is a chapter book titled The Puppy Place *Honey*.
• We are on chapter 8!

Mathematics (2nd Grade)

• We are on the last chapter of our book. Multiplication/division. We have been preparing for this chapter and have a little background already. We should be able to fly right through it. :)

Handwriting

• We are writing letters to the first grade letting them know what to expect for second grade!
• Now that we know all of the letters, we will be writing everything in cursive!!! (Please encourage children to write ALL of their homework in cursive as well).
