This is the last week before Spring Break!  Thursday, April 5 is a retreat day and we are dismissing at 1:00!!  There is no school on Friday, April 6.  Please bring in old newspapers for a project.  Thank you.

Week of April 2 - 6

Religion

We are studying Chapter 17 - Jesus the Healer.  We are learning that Jesus heals those who are sick.  Jesus' apostles preach and heal in his name, and the Church continues Jesus' healing ministry.  We are all called to care for the sick.  We are taking the Chapter 17 book test on Thursday, April 5.

Language Arts

We are completing Unit 5 - Pronouns.  If any student is struggling with the concepts, (s)he is encouraged to bring the language arts book home.  Students are responsible for 3 journal entries this week.

Reading

We have finished reading Carlos and the Skunk in the reading book.  Reading skills covered with this story are: judgements and decisions, drawing conclusions, suffixes, comprehension, vocabulary, and reading a diagram.  There will be a take-home test this week.
