Monday 11/16/09 - We played Jeopardy to review for tomorrow's test. Tuesday 11/17/09 - We took a test on the solar system. Wednesday 11/18/09 - We switched to the life science book and began talking about classification of organisms. Wednesday 11/11/09 - No class - Veteran's Day speakers Thursday 11/12/09 - We worked on a study guide for Tuesday's test. Tuesday 11/3/09 - We learned about the outer solar system - comets, asteroids, meteors, and other objects in the Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Monday 10/26/09 - We began talking about the solar system by learning about some of the history leading to our present knowledge of it. Tuesday 10/27/09 - We discussed the layers and features of the sun. Monday 10/12/09 - No school - Columbus Day Tuesday 10/13/09 - We began to look at satellites and what they do as they are in orbit to prepare for our next in-class project. Wednesday 10/14/09 - We went to the computer lab to begin researching our satellites. Thursday 10/15/09 - We continued our research using the laptop and books in the classroom. Wednesday 9/23/09 - We finished up types of storms by learning about the formations and safety of thunderstorms and tornadoes. Thursday 9/24/09 - We looked at symbols used on weather service and newspaper weather maps.
