Fourth Grade Information Sunday, May 20, 2012 Please find below the updated homework for the week of May 21. Important updates for the upcoming week include the following: (1) This week I will be finishing up most of the core material that I will cover this year with the fourth graders. I will start reviewing major concepts this week and next week to prepare the children for final exams during the week of June 4. This week I will also be adminstering performance asessments in each subject from the Archdiocese. (2) As a reminder, school will be closed on Friday, May 25, and Monday, May 28, for the Memorial Day weekend. Behavior Calendar Signatures I will be sending a Behavior Calendar home for every child once a week (usually on Friday) in a blue vinyl folder labeled Tests and Important Information. If there are NO check marks on the calendar, that is a GOOD thing. A check mark in any specific area indicates the need for improvement. Please sign this on the bottom each week and return it in the blue folder. There will be a new calendar for each month. Tests I will be sending home any tests that have been taken and graded once a week (usually on Friday) in a blue vinyl folder labeled Tests and Important Information. Please sign each test and return them in the blue folder. Tests will be shown on this website's calendar, and I will note them in the homework for the week. Key Terms and Notes Any notes taken during classes or my pre-printed Key Terms Sheets (as referenced above in homework) for any subject will be written on or attached to the pages of the copybooks for each subject. This includes the pre-printed Spelling Word Sheet for each week which will be attached to one of the pages of your child's ELA Copybook. Hot Lunches The hot lunch program will be in full swing with the normal menu offerings and weekly specials starting this week. Please check the school calendar for details. Pizza Day Remember that this year Pizza Day has been changed to Monday of each week. Each slice of pizza is $1.50. Soda is $1.00. Please send your child to school with the appropriate dollar amount if he or she wishes to have pizza for lunch.
