    Mrs. Hofmann's School Notes

Welcome to Mrs. Hofmann's science school notes page.
I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. We have just finished our study of weather and we will study climate and pollution through this week.  I plan for our class to finish our study of pollution on Monday or Tuesday of next week.  The next unit of study will include cells, tissues, organs, organ systems, and the human body. Please ask your students what we are talking and learning about in science class.  We will make a foldable to identify the major climate zones in the world.  Information will be obtained from reading assignments using the UNRAAVEL strategy which was developed by Larry Bell.
Please remind your students to follow the procedures of the science classroom.  Those procedures include: Entering the class silently, and immediately beginning the science starter.  Also, raising your hand before speaking.  Respecting everyone and the school.  Walk down the halls silently and in a single file line.  Always keep your agenda with you.  Students may not leave the classroom without their own agenda.  No candy or gum unless given by Ms. Hofmann. Finally, no cheating.
Thanks for all that you do and I hope we have a nice week. :-)
