Welcome back from the long weekend!

Homework-Science- kinds of plants; Handwriting- consonant Yy

Reminder: CLASS TRIP on Thursday. Children are to bring their lunches/drinks in a labeled PAPER BAG- no glass bottles, no thermoses, no lunch boxes. We will be eating at the museum. Extra parents can follow the bus and pay their own admission fee when we get there. Please let me know if you are an "extra" parent coming...tx!

Homework-Handwriting- Xx words; Phonics- Yy sound

*The school nurse has completed vision/hearing tests on all K children and she will be in contact with you if there are any concerns*

Tomorrow will be our school May crowning at 2:00 in church. We have this special tradition during May. An 8th grader will place the crown of flowers on the Blessed Mother statue and we as a school will attend.

**CLASS TRIP- Thursday- we will be leaving from school about 8:45 a.m. We need to be at the museum at 10:00 a.m.** Children should wear  school gym uniforms on the trip.**

We also attended the school band concert and were their audience at dress rehearsal- they were GREAT!!! We are learning about our FLAG and its components- 7 RED stripes, 6 WHITE stripes and 50 STARS!!!

Homework- Language arts- using high frequency words; Math- collecting data page

We will be going to the May Crowning/Procession at 2:00 this afternoon with the whole school.

*CLASS TRIP TOMORROW- Children wear GYM uniforms and bring their lunches in a PAPER BAG, no thermoses, no lunchboxes,no glass bottles. You may still send in a snack for the afternoon (besides their lunch snack)- they are usually hungry/thirsty when they return to school (time permitting). They DO NOT NEED ANY MONEY- there will be NO SOUVENIR SHOPPING- parents please follow this request-THANK-YOU!*

**REMINDER: NO SCHOOL FRIDAY AND MONDAY THIS WEEKEND for THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!**

If it is not raining, I will be sending home the marigold plants with the children today...they are pretty strong and hardy. PLEASE have the children continue to care for them...water them ,place them in a sunny spot, etc,... and watch them grow into the pretty marigold flowers. Time is limited here in school to finish up all we have to finish. THANKS!!! Let me know how they do!
