It's hard to believe we are in the month of December!  We are having a great time learning new things in room 208 here at Koontz Elementary!  Here are a few things to keep in mind...

Parents - Homework is given on a nightly basis.  Please note that homework will be a review of what was covered in the class on that day.  Also, as much as possible allow students to complete homework independently - I always review homework individually with all of my students before I send it home.   

Parents -Green Thursday folders will contain all info for parents to read, sign, return, as well as classwork/homework from students.  Please be sure to sign the homework/classwork grid for that week, then return the green folders on Friday.

Parents - Please review, sign, and return agendas daily.

Parents and students - ice cream day in the cafeteria for kinders is on Fridays - I believe the fee is $1.00.  

 Please look at my flash cards for some books that you can read with your child.  Please note that we do have weekly library time on Fridays; however, you may also check out any picture books at the public library to fulfill the reading requirements for the reading log.  Students are given an incentive to finish as many reading logs as possible.    

I have also included some flash cards of sight words, numbers, and alphabet.  Please feel free to print and use with students on a regular basis.  

Success is achievable with plenty of practice and adequate rest.  Thank you for abiding by our uniform code.
