Syllabus for trimester one:
6th Grade Math-We will be developing fluency in all algorithms with frequent timed tests. Girls will receive an introduction to basic algebraic principles and statistics. There will be an investigation of fractional parts of numbers. Additionally, knowledge of number lines and negative numbers will be expanded.
6th Grade Science: Using the scientific process, the girls will investigate our Earth's composition. We will briefly cover mapping our Earth's surface and then procede into an in-depth investigation of minerals and rocks.
7the Grade Math:
Girls will review basic operations. An emphasis will be placed on mastering fractions and decimal manipulations. There will be a further investigation of geometry.
7th Grade Science:
In Life Science we will begin with the basic unit of all life, the cell. We will focus our attention to all cell processes, heredity and the study of modern genetics.
Don't forget that our school is collecting Cambells' labels and boxtops.
