Welcome to Mrs. Burch's 3rd Grade Class
Rockwell Elementary School
Home of the Rockets

Our story for this week is The Lost and Found. Our skill that we are working on is Sequencing. Also we have begun our Literature Circles. Your child should be bringing home their novels and their Reader's Notebook every night. They should be writing in their notebooks every night for at least 5-10 minutes. It should not take them longer then this. (They should have four journal entries by Friday). Every Friday your child will participate in Literature Discussion groups based on their reading for the week.
In math we have begun our new topic which is Adding Whole Numbers. We will begin practicing how to add two-digit by two-digit numbers and estimating. Please encourage your child to practice addition and subtraction facts.
