Create a menu and identify each food item as a carb, lipid, protein, or nucleic acid. Chapter 6 Test. Wednesday: Complete a macromolecule cutout. Cutout pictures that represent each macromolecule and bring in food examples. Define enzyme, diagram an example, and describe its function. Thursday: Macromolecule lab and notes review. Friday: Macromolecule quiz. Identify the 3 types of energy and describe what foods are eaten to get each type of energy. Monday: Review types of energy. Define photosynthesis. Describe the steps in the process, identify the reactants and products and write out the equation. Tuesday: Review types of energy and photosynthesis. Define cellular respiration, describe the 3 steps, and explain what occurs when no oxygen is available. Wednesday: Differentiate between alcoholic and lactic acid fermentation. Diagram photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Complete a chart that distinguishes each process. Thursday: Complete study guide for chapter 9. Define chapter 7 vocabulary. Friday: Ginger ale lab. Identify the different types of microscopes and differentiate between a eukaryote/prokaryote, plant/animal cell, multicellular/unicellular. |
