Research!

Scholastic Read 100,000 Minutes

We Are encouraging all students to read for at least 20 minutes a day. More would be great too. I would love it if every student would register at http://www.scholastic.com/bookfairs/minutes/  Every week if you go to the site and record your reading minutes Scholastic will add them all up. At the end of the year if we have 100,000 minutes of reading we will have a special event at the school. This would be an excellent opportunity to show of NRES's reading potential!

Battle of the Books

Our team came in third at NRMS Friday March 9. We will compete against the top three winners of both schools on Wednesday March 21 at NRHS!

Yearbook News

The yearbook for the 2011 - 2012 school year is now available for pre-order. If you pay for the yearbook before April they are only $18.00. After April 1st, yearbooks will be $20.00. If paying by check please write the check out to North Rowan Elementary. The yearbooks are filled to the brim with wonderful colored pictures to celebrate our year. The yearbook will be soft cover and 40 pages. Please purchase one for your child's enjoyment and memories. Yearbooks are not ready at this time and will not go home until the end of May or beginning of June.

Highlighted Books for March

This month we are featuring books about kittens, Dr. Seuss, Spring, St. Patrick's Day, and music.
