Mrs. Singleton’s 8th Grade Science OUR TEAM WILL BE TAKING A FIELD TRIP TO UNIVERSAL/'ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE" THEME PARK ON APRIL 15TH. STUDENTS SHOULD PLAN TO BE AT THE SCHOOL AT 6:30 A.M. ON THE 18TH SIDE (NOT SEAGATE/BUS PORT) OF THE SCHOOL. THANKS. "OnCourse" online gradebook became available to you Nov. 4th. Parents must come to the school to obtain the codes for accessing students' grades online. Students received their own codes attached to their Dec 3rd Progress Reports. SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT Research papers due: 12/1st
The rubric for students' 2nd 9 weeks project can be found on my Projects/Science Fair web page. Just click on the link below for rubrics, rules, due dates, etc. http://new.schoolnotes.com/xpages/view/39320/1 Or you can access the Projects webpage at new.schoolnotes.com by clicking on my link, "Mrs. Singleton's Projects and Science Fair" info. Overview: All students will complete a science fair project. All students will also complete a 2 page research paper about their chosen topic. Students may choose between 3 types of projects: Science Fair quality (125 points), Classroom Fair quality (100 points) or they may build a Rube Goldberg contraption (100 points). Paperwork was sent home for you to sign 10/27 and was due back on: Tuesday, Nov 3rd. There are still several students who have not returned their signed paperwork. Research papers are due: December 1st Projects are due: December 11th ----------------------------------------------------------
