Daily Schedule for Daily Grammar Practice

Week 12Sentence:

Monday:  Write out the sentence and identify parts of speech including noun, pronoun (type and case), verb (type and tense), adverb, adjective, preposition, conjunction (type), gerund, participle, infinitive and article.

  1. Tuesday:  Write out the sentence and identify sentence parts including complete subject, simple subject, complete predicate, verb (transitive or intransitive), direct object, indirect object, predicate nominative, predicate adjective, appositive or appositive phrase, prepositional phrase (adjective or adverb), gerund phrase, infinitive phrase, participial phrase, object of preposition, object of infinitive and object of gerund.
  2. Wednesday:  Write out the sentence an identify clauses (independent, adverb dependent, adjective dependent, noun dependent), sentence type (simple, compound, complex, compound-complex) and sentence purpose (declarative, interrogative, imperative, exclamatory).
  3. Thursday:  Write out the sentence and add capitalization and punctuation including end punctuation, commas, semicolons, apostrophes, underlining and quotation marks.
  4. Friday:  Diagram the sentence.
