Communication Skills

In accordance with our School Improvement Process, this year we will be focusing on Communication Skills integrated in Language Arts.

Students will read aloud narrative and expository text with fluency, pacing, and expression. - In Progress

Students will give creative, oral presentations that reflect purpose, focus, and reading comprehension. -Summer reading and response to literatue

Students will continuously be called upon to give oral response to literature selections. -In Progress

Students will develop vocabulary skills by participating in weekly vocabulary exercises. -In Progress

Students will deliver speeches during the second half of the year.
