Welcome to Mrs. Gordon's Kindergarten Update!

 

 

Language Arts:

We will learn about letter Mm. We will write capital and lowercase Mm and learn the M sound. Continue helping your child write his/her last name. Your child should recognize these letters and their sounds and these words: Ll, Oo, Gg, Hh, Tt, Pp, Aa,Nn, is, a, I, the, am, we, on, go, my, boy, girl, orange.

 

Math:

 

We will continue counting numbers 1-10, counting backwards from 10, and writing numbers 1-10. Cut apart and use the enclosed flash cards to practice numbers 1-10. Practice writing numbers 1-10 on the attached sheets.

Find something that begins with letter M to take to school on Tuesday. Tell someone the key word for letter M (monkey). Write your first and last name from memory.

 

Use the 1-10 flashcards. Practice naming the number on the card. Clap that many times.

Write the numbers 1-10 as someone calls them out to you. (NOTE: Do not call them out in order. Mix them up.)

Write sentences with three of the words on your word list.
