Welcome Byrnedale Bands and Bowsher District Elementary Bands Thank you for viewing my school notes. Be sure to request this page to be emailed to you. You will automatically receive this page. General info Parent Teacher Conferences are this upcoming week.Nov. 12 & 13. Be sure to stop at Byrnedale room 125 and get caught up. Your child gets extra credit for seeing me. Nov. 12- 8:00-2:30 & 4:00-8:00p.m. Nov. 13 9:00-11:30a.m. If you are unable to attend your child can still get extra credit! Just give me a call at 419-671-2200 ext. 2165 for a phone conference OR email from school notes and I will email back. I'm trying for 100% ! Byrnedale 2009-2010 School Year Advanced Band -A "Tribute to Veteran's Ceremony" will take place this coming Wednesday, November 11 at 8:30a.m. Percussion students are expected to stay after school on Tuesday November 10th to set up. They will be done by 3:00p.m. Wednesday, all Band members need to wear their Purple t's black pants, plain black shoes and black socks. We will perform the Star Spangled Banner with the 7th Grade Choir, Triton Fanfare and Patriotic Snippets. After the ceremony Band members will be treated to a breakfast of donuts and juice or milk. Jazz Band/Honors Band-See Advanced Band. We will be performing, "Augustus Gloop" and "I Get Around". Jazz Band has an additional performance date, see calendar below. Intermediate Band- We are preparing for our Dec. 14 concert.Not much time before the concert with Parent Teacher and Thanksgiving in between. Be sure your child is practicing, " You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch, " Winter Wonderland" and "Clarinet Christmas". Beginner Band-We are moving forward! The members have received a song sheet of Holiday music to learn. We played Jingle Bells for Mrs. Smith's class on Friday. They were impressed! Each day one of the members does not bring their supplies. 2 times is a detention with me after school. Some are struggling to remember their supplies each day. No supplies and a 0 grade is given. Help them remember! We discovered that it is WORK to learn an instrument! Be sure your child is spending time READING their notes and practicing their fingerings and tones. Patience!!!
